Dear bathers and swimmers,

Welcome to the Lättich swimming pool.

We are committed to providing our guests with a pleasant and relaxing environment. To ensure this, there are rules of conduct to follow in the bathing facilities. The staff is instructed to monitor compliance with these rules. Bathers are required to show consideration and behave in a way that does not disturb or endanger others.

We thank all guests for their cooperation and wish them a pleasant stay at the Lättich swimming pool.

Article 1: Basis

These swimming pool regulations are issued by the Department of Real Estate/Sports of the Municipality of Baar and regulate the use of the Lättich swimming pool in Baar.

They are based on § 84 para. 4 of the Law on the Organization and Administration of Municipalities of September 4, 1980 (Municipality Law) and Art. 16, Item k of the Municipal Code of November 27, 2022

Article 2: Opening Hours

The opening hours are set by the management and are published:

·         On the information board at the entrance

·         In the information sheet at the cashier

·         On the website www.laettich-baar.ch

Extraordinary closures, e.g., for swimming competitions or maintenance work, are published on www.laettich-baar.ch and internally at the pool.

Article 3: Entrance Fees

Each bather must pay an entrance fee to use the bathing facilities. Exceptions are children who are under six years old. The amount of the entrance fee is set by the operator. By paying the entrance fee, the guest agrees to the swimming pool regulations:

Entrance tickets lose their validity when leaving the swimming pool.

Multiple-entry tickets are valid for ten years from the date of issue.

Refunds or interruptions are only possible for season tickets and for health reasons with a doctor’s certificate.

Unused multiple-entry or annual tickets – even in the case of moving away – are not refunded.

In cases of misuse or violation of the swimming pool regulations, as well as a ban from the premises, the multiple-entry or annual ticket will be blocked and will not be refunded.

For commercial use, course participants must pay the regular entrance fee.

Article 4: Access Regulations

The use of the bathing facilities may be restricted in whole or in part for technical, safety, or organizational reasons. Access may also be limited to a specific group of users. No claim for a refund of the entrance fee is possible in such cases.

Access to the bathing facilities may be denied to:

-       Persons with open wounds or contagious diseases.

-       Persons under the influence of intoxicating substances who endanger or disturb themselves or other guests.

-       Persons who behave inappropriately.

-       Persons who bring animals with them (except for guide dogs for visually impaired individuals or restaurant guests).

Preschool children are only allowed to visit the bathing facilities if accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older, who takes full responsibility for the child.

Access to the steam room is only permitted for children over 14 years of age if accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.

Article 5: Liability

The use of the bathing facilities is at the user’s own risk.

The operator of the swimming pool is only liable for damages caused by illegal, particularly contractually non-compliant, and culpable behavior by the operator or its staff.

The operator is not liable for damages caused by violations of the swimming pool regulations, any other usage rules, failure to follow the instructions of the pool staff, or for damages resulting from the user's own fault or from unavoidable events or force majeure, especially those caused by third parties. The same applies to any special usage rules posted at specific facilities (e.g., for the water slide) and for any usage bans.

The operator is not liable for theft.

Guests are liable for damages they cause to the facilities through improper use. Multiple guests may be jointly and severally liable.

Article 6: Supervision Duty

Article 7: Permit Requirement

For any events (including political actions and petition collection) on the grounds of the Lättich swimming pool, a permit must be obtained from the management in advance.

Providing swimming lessons, courses, and instructions without a permit is not allowed.

Article 8: Changing Rooms

Changing must preferably take place in the designated changing rooms.

Children who are 8 years old or older must use the changing room designated for their gender.

The operator is not liable for valuables.

Found valuables should be handed in at the cashier. These will be forwarded to the Zug Police Department, Baar office.

Article 9: Safety Regulations

Non-swimmers are not allowed access to the swimming areas.

The use of swimming aids (floaties, swimming vests, pool noodles, etc.) and inflatable swimming items is not permitted in the swimming pools (25m sports pool, 50m outdoor pool), the two diving pits, and the diving platforms. Exceptions are approved courses and supervised training.

Fitness or long-distance fins (short fins) and training snorkels with masks are allowed in consultation with the staff.

The use of all facilities, especially the diving areas, is at your own risk. Care must be taken not to endanger other bathers.

School classes visit the pool with a teacher, who is responsible for the safety of their students throughout the facility.

Bathers and visitors must comply with the swimming pool regulations and the instructions of the staff and refrain from anything that disturbs order, safety, or good manners.

Article 10: Hygiene Regulations

Before using the water basins, it is mandatory to shower. The use of soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotions, etc., in the water basin area is prohibited.

Bathing is only allowed in swimwear.

There is no right to a refund of the entrance fee in case of expulsion from the pool. This applies to single and multiple entries as well as season tickets.

In cases of criminal acts or for identifying individuals, the staff may involve the police. The operator reserves the right to file a criminal complaint.

For willful damage to property or contamination of the swimming pool facilities, the responsible party will be charged an administrative fee.

Parents or legal guardians are liable for minor children.

The staff supervises the operation of the swimming pool and has the authority to issue instructions within the bathing facilities.

Decisions made by the management can be appealed in writing, with reasons, to the department head within 20 days. This decision is final.
